At this meeting, we will be announcing the Volunteers of the Month, introducing you to the Fall Ambassador Program, and will be detailing the Intern Application for those of you who are interested in becoming part of the MAPS leadership team. ***Remember that this meeting is mandatory and a part of your list of volunteer responsibilities.

Fall 2015 Recruitment

It was great seeing many of you Wednesday evening!

For all interested volunteers: When you volunteer for MAPS, you are part of the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center (RRMC) and will need to be cleared from the RRMC Volunteer Office. This process entails a lot of paperwork, such as writing the essay for your application, getting TB shots, and showing proof of immunizations. Direct Referral Sessions also fill up fast. All this takes up to a few weeks.

Our suggestion to prospective volunteers is to get all that paperwork done in this Fall Quarter. After you have obtained your volunteer jacket and ID badge, you can email us so that we can put you on the emailing list for Winter 2016 training session dates.

That being said, the Fall 2015 Recruitment Period is over, so be on the lookout for Winter Quarter!
